due to family circumstances (an impending, if otherwise unroyal birth) Andrei Davidoff ceramics will not be at Melbourne design market this year. NEXT TIME!

Andrei's ceramics recently featured on English design blog OEN (the 189) and the response has been very positive. More on that later... Mark Robinson is the blogger and designer behind the neat package which brings together design education and a chance to purchase goods under one banner. Also covering art, photography and film, it's fast becoming our go-to eye candy land and mood board. Check out the post here and thanks Mark! from OEN, photography by Isao Hashinoki
![]() Very happy to announce that Andrei Davidoff ceramics are now available north-side. The new range of vessels are currently exclusive to Mr Kitly and include dark stoneware sake bottles and cups inspired by Japan. Images to come. These are literally hot out of the kiln and into the store, fresh as morning bread. Combining a gallery, shop and architecture studio, Mr Kitly is a fabulous first floor shop overlooking Sydney Road in Brunswick. Stocking functional artisan objects of ceramic, metal and wood, all the pieces are sourced for their unique design. You can find everything from soft furnishings to kitchen utensils, Japanese ceramics and delightful potted plants at Mr Kitly. ![]() The sublime dobin teapot by UK-based Japanese potter Akiki Hira ![]() What's not to love about a market? Whether you see it as an opportunity to shop direct from talented makers and designers, or spend an afternoon among bunting, neon beaded jewellery and the earnestness of crocheted booties - there's something social and immediate about the marketplace. For me it is a chance to enjoy small helpings of food, rich in trans-fats, and to see how people respond to my ceramics. At Melbourne Design Market I will be road testing a varied range of new vases -ones that are not for sale at my stockists. These include classic to retro '70s style vases - the glory days of hobby ceramics. I am trying (without any luck) to upload a casual snap of these... but you can always look here...
