Maquette for a Monument is a series of works exploring the relationship between the two-dimensional and the three-dimensional. In essence the ‘Maquettes’ are a 3-D ‘drawing’. It was the first series of work exploring the ideas of ‘sketching in material’, both through the rough and instinctive construction of the initial pieces through to the arrangement, deconstruction and further rearrangement.
