Lives and works in Melbourne, Australia.
Andrei Davidoff is a production ceramicist by trade and continues a steady exhibition presence. In 2012 he completed a Masters (Fine Art) at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT). That year Davidoff was also awarded a $10,000 Artstart Grant from Australia Council that enabled him to purchase a second-hand kiln and assorted studio equipment. In 2014 he was again the recipient of a generous grant from the Australia Council which facilitated a temporary move to Sydney to work on a multi-room installation, Solitary Shade, at the historic house of colonial explorer and politician, William Wentworth, in Vaucluse.
Davidoff has held solo exhibitions at BUS Projects in Melbourne, Stockroom in Kyneton, Craft, Mr Kitly and exhibited in the showcase at Shepparton Art Museum. Davidoff has exhibited widely in group shows and competitions, including the 2015 Hobart Art Award and the group show Clay in Saint Cloche, Sydney. He was featured in the book Clay: Contemporary Ceramic Artisans, published in 2017 by Thames and Hudson.
In May 2018 Davidoff will exhibit The Golden Calf at the JamFactory in Adelaide.
